A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

Hello my name is Jayne Trezise I am a IPT therapist and supervisor (see my IPT page) currently I work 3 days per week for NHS. In additions, I am a self employed therapist and holistic therapy practitioner.

I have been interested in how the mind and the body work together for all of my adult life.  I found it very interesting that the mind could influence the body in both a positive and a negative way. I  read extensively about the power of the subconscious mind and the impact it has on the mind and the body. It was in 2001 that I first discovered Reiki and my journey began to becoming qualified in this and many other holistic therapies.

When I completed a Sociologically based degree achieving a BA (Hon) I was introduced to my first Reiki Master who attuned me to Reiki One. I absolutely loved what Reiki did for me, so much so that I wanted to share it with everyone, becoming extremely enthusiastic about Reiki. I was keen to progress to practitioner level, which gave me the tools to use Reiki more effectively in many more ways; not only for myself but for my loved ones.

Many people have asked me over the years about how they too can learn Reiki. So in 2003 I decided it was time to enter Master level - Reiki 3 to enable me to teach Reiki to other. However, I felt that being attuned to Reiki 3 certainly did not make me a Reiki Master. Therefore, I continued to practice Reiki on self, my family, colleagues and  friends. This helped me to expand my practice and skills so that I felt competent to talk about and teach Reiki with some level of confidence; when the time came to start attuning students.

I  have alway had a great interest in adding to my life skills and so have added new holistic therapies over the years. In 2006 I learned the amazing benefits of  Emotional Freedom Technique, which I have used in my work with young people; particularly around exam stress, anxiety. In addition, I practiced  E.F.T with adults enhancing my experience of working with  fears, phobias, addiction, cravings and so on.

I enrolled at college for a year long evening course to learn Swedish massage. This was followed by my becoming accredited in reflexology, Indian head massage and candling. To become competent in my new skills, I practice these techniques on my colleague; friends and family this helped me to gain confidence and experience to work with clients effectively.

Each treatment and technique I have learned has increase my understanding of how well the different techniques can work together. I consider myself a life long learner and having worked with children and families since 2001 I decided to complete a Master Degree in Child Adolescent Mental Health, whilst continuing to work full time.

A friend of mine asked me to accompany her to an introductory weekend of hypnotherapy. I went along to keep her company. However, I realised how much hypnotherapy fit with my current practices. So, at the end of the day  I  signing up to do the course, instead of her!; Serendipity in action, this was the right course for me, at the right time and would compliment my existing skills.

Now fully qualified as a  Hypnotherapist and registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register. I have made the decision to pursue the holistic therapies I love in a professional capacity, setting up my business hypnotherapyandhealing.com. In addition to GHR I am registered with Complimentary and natural health council (CHNC) and IPT UK as a therapist, you can find me on their website https://www.cnhc.org.uk and https://www.iptuk.nethttps://www.general-hypnotherapy-register.com

In January 2016 I began my training as an IPT therapist, this was a year long Masters Diploma at Newcastle University. The therapy looks at the interpersonal context of depression in order to identify the triggers and maintenance of depression and help the person recover from it. On completing the first stage of learning I went on to complete advanced IPT practice and supervision training. Currently I am supervising students training at Manchester University to deliver IPT.

The services that I am able to offer are bespoke and tailored to suit each clients individual needs. The background I have, as a behavioural  specialist with knowledge of promoting positive mental health, enables me to offer a unique intervention to each client. Whether relaxation or the elimination of unwanted or unhelpful behaviour or if challenging outmoded beliefs is your goal, call,  text, or email me for a free consultation; I welcome any enquiry regarding treatments and courses.

I offer appointment throughout the week and weekends and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards, Namaste
